The years of prohibition were dark times in the United States, they not only led to civil unrest, organized crime, and the destruction of the entire alcohol production and service industry, but ironically, an increase in the nations thirst for alcohol. Unfortunately that thirst could only be quenched from hooch procured for bootleggers, or fiery and unregulated moonshine and bathtub gin. With the passage of the 21st amendment, congress said NO MORE. We celebrate the anniversary of Repeal Day every year and give thanks to the return of all the rich traditions abundant in the world of beverage alcohol.
